Vintage Wooden Cigar Box

The outside of the box has indented dark brown writing saying “Seleccion Superva”, “Privada”, “Coronations de luxe”, and “Boite Nature”, the Romeo Y Julieta logo is in the centre of the lid. The inside of the lid also has this logo and writing. The front fastens with a metal clasp catch which slides to the left to release the locking mechanism, and has metal hinges.
The corners of the box are dovetailed with a curved finish. The outside of the box also has part of the original import sticker – guarantee seal from the Cuban government which says things like “Cuban Government’s Warranty For Cigars Exported From Havana” and has the “Ley de Julio 16 1912” written on it which is the date the law was brought in for these stamps, and from this stamp the box can be aged to between 1924-1962. There is a stamp on the base which says Made in Havana.
The box is in good vintage condition the wood has some scuff marks which adds to its vintage story and gives the box a rich patina. The hinges and fastener are in good condition. See pictures
